How pairing works in Fish an Anime RNG
Pairing multiplies the plot economy. Your plot is your income: characters on stands earn Cash per second whether you are fishing, farming, or standing still, and placing collected characters in your base creates a passive progression loop alongside active fishing. On top of that base income, a valid pair buffs both members — each character in a formed pair receives a 3x Cash buff, and the game marks an active pair's earnings in pink.

Several rarity sections end in collapsed "+N" entries that hide at least one pair each: Ancient (+2, sitting between Riza II and Touki), Supreme (+1, ending at Lucia), Ascended (+3 and +2), and Rainbow (+1, ending at Touki). The Ascended section also renders the Nina Naka ↔ Yotso Naka row twice, so exact Ascended membership should be verified in game. Multi-pair buff behavior
How the 3x buff behaves when a character belongs to more than one listed pair is not documented, so don't assume stacking or priority. The Ascended section also contains collapsed entries and one repeated row, so verify Naka-family pairs in game before relying on them.
Note that rarity variants (Riza/Riza II, Summer Mika/Summer Mika II, Askira/Askira II, Reia/Reia II, Kaneko/Kaneko II) appear as separate characters in separate pairs — don't assume a variant stands in for its base version when forming a pair.
The lemon stand 15x "combination" is not a character pair
Players searching for character combinations will also run into a 15x "combination" that belongs to a different system. Creator guides quoting the in-game wiki guide at the lemon stand gem station report: "Place your rarest character to get a 15x combination." The lemon stand — reported to unlock around rebirth five for 1 million cash — pays gems from customers, and the 15x figure applies when your rarest character is placed there.
That mechanic multiplies gem income from a single placed rare character. A character pair is different: it joins two listed characters on plot stands for a 3x Cash buff to each member. Keep the two systems separate, and treat the 15x figure as creator-reported and version-sensitive rather than confirmed by the pair list.
