Fish an Anime RNG Events Guide: Natural, Summoned & Developer-Led Events

Fish an Anime RNG event reference: seven natural mutation events with chances, durations, and pools; eight summoned events with boosts; plus the Boosts Shop, Selene, and Angelia. Values dated August 27, 2026 — recheck after each update.

Quick answer

Fish an Anime RNG runs three kinds of events: natural mutation events that fire on a server roughly every five minutes in no fixed order, summoned events you trigger yourself with potions, and developer-led Admin Abuse sessions that start alongside updates. Every event type raises mutation odds or applies temporary Luck, Catch Speed, Cash, or Food boosts, which makes event windows the game's main mutation opportunities — mutations give characters distinct visual effects and raise their income rate.

  • Natural mutation events: server-wide effects that fire roughly every five minutes with no schedule; each has a random duration and its own occurrence chance, so the same event can repeat within ten minutes while another skips hours.
  • Summoned events: never occur naturally — a player starts them by consuming potions bought from the Boosts Shop in the central hub or from the potion merchants Selene and Angelia.
  • Developer-led events (Admin Abuse): run by the developers at update time and explicitly time-sensitive.

Natural mutation events: chance, duration, and mutation pool

Natural events cannot be predicted, scheduled, or farmed on a timer — there is no fixed order. Use the table below as a lookup for whatever is currently active on your server. The chances, durations, and mutation pools are reported values last documented August 27, 2026; they are not confirmed in official developer notes, so recheck them after each update.

How to summon events: Boosts Shop, Selene, and Angelia

Summoned events never start on their own — they are triggered by consuming an event potion from one of three routes. The Boosts Shop in the central hub stocks event-triggering potions once you invest Gems and Cash in its Potion upgrade tree. Selene, a traveling merchant, has a 2% chance to appear on a server every 20 seconds and stays 3–4 minutes, selling the Heaven's Collide Potion, Meteorite Potion, Honey Potion, and Sinister Potion; gameplay footage reports her Heaven's Collide Potion priced at 25,000 Gems. (Her name is written Selene in event guides and transcribed as "Celine" in some gameplay videos — they appear to be the same NPC.) Angelia appears at random times with the rarest potions in the game: she spawns less often than Selene and carries limited stock — the Forgotten Potion, Cybernetic Glitch Potion, Dreamer Potion, and Party Potion.

Which potions each seller carries is documented, but the Meteorite, Honey, Sinister, Forgotten, Cybernetic Glitch, and Dreamer potions are not currently mapped to their resulting events or effects, so read a potion's tooltip in-game before spending on it.

Gem-drop note: falling Gems during Heaven's Collide and Hell's Gates are reported to be worth 100 Gems each, and the same 100-Gem value is reported for SUB ZERO — event listings disagree on whether SUB ZERO drops Gems at all, so check the pickup value in-game. Heaven's Collide's falling Stars can turn held characters Angelic or Gold, and Hell's Gates' falling Stars can give held characters Blood. Spelling note: the Hell-themed event appears as both "Hell's Gates" and "Hell's Gate" across guides; this page uses Hell's Gates.

How event mutations are applied to characters

Events mutate characters in two visibly different ways. During Solar, asteroids rain from the sky periodically, and a character near an impact picks up Lava (a 2x income multiplier); during Thunder, a character struck by lightning turns Electric (2x). During SUB ZERO and the Halloween-styled Hallows' Eve, nothing physically happens to the character — the mutation lands by sheer chance, and the only tell is the mutation appearing above the character. Heaven's Collide is the summoned event where something physically hits characters, which is why players use it to mutate many characters in sequence rather than relying on silent chance rolls.

On top of that, some mutations require holding the character: drag it into your hotbar and click it so it follows you.

How to prepare for an event window

Tips

Hold characters during mutation events

During Hell's Gates, Heaven's Collide, SUB ZERO, and Party, equip a character from your hotbar to give it a chance of being mutated. Save your best characters and hold them out during these windows.

Strip old mutations first

A character holds only one mutation. Stockpile characters, remove existing mutations with the Depolarizer, and run the event on clean targets.

Stack Mutation Potions inside weather windows

Weather events like Blizzard alter mutation and freeze chances on what you catch, which makes those windows the right time to burn a Mutation Potion rather than a Cash Potion.

Fish with your strongest rod during Luck events

A fishing rod's Luck is boosted by player-triggered events like Hell's Gates, Party, and Sakura Season, so use your best rod while those are active.

Buy potions the moment merchants appear

Selene rolls a 2% appearance every 20 seconds and stays 3–4 minutes. Buy the Heaven's Collide Potion (reported at 25,000 Gems) when she is on the server, start the event near the water, and fish to get as many held characters as possible hit.

Developer-led events: the Admin Abuse format

Admin Abuse is the documented developer-led event format. It begins at the same time as a game update and is explicitly time-sensitive, so joining a few minutes early is recommended. During a session, players may encounter temporary events, boosted mutation chances, exclusive rewards, or special activities, and the session can showcase the update's new mechanics and fishing content. Potion-only events such as Heaven's Collide can alternatively spawn during an Admin Abuse session, giving a second route to them.

Schedule history (both time-sensitive and now past): Sunday, August 30, 2026, 7:00 PM UTC (announced August 26, 2026) and Saturday, September 19, 2026, 8:00 PM UTC. As of September 21, 2026, neither date is current and no next session can be confirmed here — check the game's Roblox page and click the Notify Me button on the events tab, or watch the official Discord, for the next announcement.

Heaven's Collide: event vs. rod ability

Two different features share the Heaven's Collide name. The event is the summoned 5-minute server event triggered by drinking a Heaven's Collide Potion: 2x Luck, all character types 2x more likely to be mutated, and falling Gems and Stars that can turn held characters Angelic or Gold. Separately, Heaven's Collide is documented as the Rod Ability of the Rod of the Heavens, sold by Angelia: x4 Luck per charge, 1 charge, 1-minute cooldown, with all rod abilities sharing one cooldown even after swapping rods or rejoining. If you are following the event steps above, you want the potion-spawned event — not the rod ability.
