Fish an Anime RNG Trading Guide: How to Start and Complete a Trade
How to trade in Fish an Anime RNG: enable Trade Requests, share a server, send a trade at the Trade Hub's Yuno Gasai NPC, and accept. Covers the three-character cap, tradable items, and scam checks — per the August–September 2026 guides.
Quick answer
In Fish an Anime RNG you can trade once both players are on the same server with Trade Requests turned on: go to the Trade Hub in the middle of the map, hold E to talk to the Yuno Gasai NPC, click Send Trade next to a player's name, load up to three characters and/or potions onto each side of the offer, and both players hit Accept to complete the swap.
- Eligibility: same server + Trade Requests enabled for both players.
- Toggle the setting by interacting with the Yuno Gasai NPC and clicking the green button at the top of the menu.
- You can offer up to three characters per trade; potions are tradable too.
- There is no official value list — judge every deal by what the offer window actually shows.
Where trades start: the Trade Hub and the Yuno Gasai NPC
Trades start at the Trade Hub in the middle of the map. Inside the trade station sits the Yuno Gasai NPC, which runs the whole trading system — hold the E key to interact with it. From this NPC you send trade requests to other players on the server, open trade offers, and switch your own Trade Requests setting on or off.
Step-by-step: how to complete a trade
Redeem steps
- Reach the Trade Hub
Head to the middle of the map and find the Trade Hub.
- Talk to the Yuno Gasai NPC
It sits inside the trade station — hold the E key to interact.
- Send the trade request
Click the “Send Trade” button next to the name of the player you want to trade with.
- Wait for them to accept
They only receive your request if their Trade Requests setting is on. On their screen an “Accept” button appears at the top, and clicking it opens the offer window.
- Load your side of the offer
Add characters and/or potions from your inventory to your end of the deal.
- Let them fill their side
The other player adds their own characters or potions to the trade.
- Both hit Accept
Once both players are satisfied with the deal, both must press Accept to complete the trade.

These item types, toggle names, and button labels reflect the game as covered by guides published August–September 2026. Write-ups currently disagree on one scope point — a codes FAQ says only characters can be traded, while the dedicated trading guides include potions; potions count as tradable here. After any game update, the live offer window is the final word on what it accepts.
Before you accept: offer-window checks
Checklist
- Check each character's name, rarity, and mutation
A mutated unit is worth more than a non-mutated one, and a rarity label alone does not tell you what a character actually earns on a pedestal.
- Check the level as well
The trade interface provides character information — use it to confirm you are receiving the expected version.
- Re-inspect after any change
If the offer changes during negotiations, verify every item again before confirming.
- Only accept the final window
The swap goes through once both players accept the final offer. Judge the deal by what is displayed in the trade window, never by chat promises about items being “added afterward”.
One honest caveat: no guide documents a cancel or back-out button inside an open trade window. The safeguards that are documented are the two-sided Accept requirement, reviewing the offer window before you confirm, and switching Trade Requests off at the Yuno Gasai NPC to stop incoming requests entirely.
Common trade limitations
Tips
Three characters max
You can offer up to three characters in a single trade; selected characters get a green mark on their images.
Unlimited trades
There is no limit to the number of trades a player can make.
Characters can move again
Traded characters can be reclaimed from another trade, so a unit you trade away can be traded on again.
Potion slots unconfirmed
No universal per-trade potion-slot limit is confirmed — check the live trade window to see what the game currently allows.
Untradables stay locked
Fishing rods, Cash, and Cosmic Boxes cannot move through the trade system at all, so no trade can substitute for them.
Judging trade value and avoiding scams
There is no official Fish an Anime RNG trade value list, so characters have no fixed or universally accepted prices. Community value lists are a rough reference, not a rulebook — demand can shift faster than they are updated. A character's trade value depends on rarity, mutations, level, income potential, scarcity, demand, and whether a collector needs it for their Character Index. Rarity alone is not enough, and a mutation multiplier does not translate 1:1 into trade value: a strong mutation on a high-tier base character is usually worth more than the same boost on a weak catch.
Treat any deal that depends on anything outside the final trade window as a red flag — fishing rods are not tradable, so promises like "I'll give you the rod afterward" are a scam tell. Do not overpay for one hyped character by giving up several hard-to-replace units, and think twice before trading away your only strong income character. A fair trade does not have to be equal on paper: if both sides know what they are giving up and getting back, an uneven-looking deal can still be good.
Why trade and where to find partners
Trading is more than a way to dump duplicates. A smart trade can fill gaps in your collection, grab a stronger income unit, or land a rare mutated character without relying entirely on fishing RNG. It is also a practical way to complete missing Character Index entries or pick up a high-rarity earner without waiting for another lucky catch.
To find people to trade with, use the "trading" channel on the official Fish an Anime RNG Discord server — strike up a conversation, agree on the deal, then complete it in-game at the Trade Hub.
