Fish an Anime RNG Mutations: Values, Tier List, and How to Get Them

Fish an Anime RNG mutation values ranked by cash-per-second multiplier, the events that grant each one, and an efficient Heaven's Collide route to a top mutation. Values date to August-September 2026 and should be rechecked after updates.

Demonic is the top mutation in Fish an Anime RNG by cash-per-second multiplier at x10, followed by Dracula (x8) and Nightmare (x7) — those are the ones worth having on your strongest characters. Mutations mainly come from server events that fire roughly every five minutes, each character can hold only one mutation, and the fastest dependable way to land a strong one is to clear bad mutations with a Depolarizer and then hold your targets through a summoned Heaven's Collide event, where falling Stars turn them Angelic (x6).

Current mutation values and multipliers

Mutations give distinct visual effects and raise the income rate of the character carrying them. Here is the current multiplier list, highest to lowest:

Two caveats before you rely on this table. Listings currently disagree on the 1.5x tier: some put Diamond, Frozen, Party, Gold, and Holy there, where the table above shows Honey instead, so open the in-game Index — which displays the current list — to confirm which names exist in your version. The developers can also add mutations and events at any time, and an update scheduled for September 19, 2026 was expected to introduce new ones, so recheck after each patch.

Which mutations are worth chasing

The ranking basis matters: this tier list is a cash-per-second income-multiplier ranking only, based on August-September 2026 reporting — it is not an official or permanent ordering, and it is not a trade-value ranking, so treat it as version-sensitive.

Demonic (x10), Dracula (x8), and Nightmare (x7) are the mutations described as the ones you want on your strongest characters. The mid band — Angelic, Mars, and Void at x6, Sinister at x5, Lunar, Solar, and Toxic at x4 — is much stronger than the low tiers. The practical keep threshold is the x2 tier: zombie, slime, electric, and lava all give the same 2x multiplier, so any one of them is a working result, and anything below that band is not worth keeping and can be replaced with a Depolarizer (see the rules below). Trade value is a separate axis and does not map 1:1 onto these multipliers.

Mutation rules: one per character, holding, and removal

Three rules apply to every mutation:

  • One mutation per character. An anime character can hold only a single mutation, and mutations cannot stack — a new mutation never combines with an existing one.
  • Some mutations require holding the character. Mutations that say you MUST be HOLDING the character are applied only to a character dragged into your hotbar and clicked so it follows you.
  • Removal uses the Depolarizer. The Depolarizer item strips the current mutation so the character can later roll a new one. Removal runs on a timer — recorded gameplay shows a removal with roughly 13 minutes still remaining — but the full duration has not been pinned down, so start clearing well before you want to re-roll.

A held character follows you and can be positioned — for example, by the water — exactly where an event's effects will strike.

How characters receive mutations

Mutations mainly come from server events. A natural mutation event occurs roughly every five minutes on a server, in random order and with random durations. Events mutate characters in two different ways:

  • Physical events are the easiest to farm because the effect is visible and you can position characters for it. Solar drops asteroids that turn characters they hit Lava (x2); Thunder's lightning turns hit characters Electric (x2); Heaven's Collide drops Stars that mutate held characters (Angelic or Gold, with Hell's Gates Stars giving Blood).
  • Silent events give no physical cue. During events like SUB ZERO and the Halloween-style Hallows' Eve event, nothing physically happens to the character — the mutation applies at some point by sheer chance, so the only way to tell is watching above your character's head.

Holding matters too: during Hell's Gates, Heaven's Collide, SUB ZERO, and Party, equipping a character from your hotbar gives it a chance of being mutated, so hold your best characters out during mutation events. Finally, some catches come pre-mutated — fish pulled during certain events can arrive already mutated, and Dreamspace gives every catch the Party, Void, or Lunar mutation.

Natural mutation events: chances, durations, and mutations offered

A mutation event happens every five minutes on a server, but there is no fixed order or schedule: each event has a random duration and its own chance to occur, so one event can repeat within minutes while another may not appear for hours.

Summoned events: how to trigger mutation events on demand

Summoned events never occur naturally; you trigger them with potions bought from the Boosts Shop in the central hub or from special NPCs. To unlock event potions, invest Gems and Cash in the Potion upgrade tree at the Boosts Shop. Two NPCs sell them:

  • Selene is a traveling merchant with a 2% chance to appear on a server every 20 seconds. She stays 3-4 minutes and sells the Heaven's Collide, Meteorite, Honey, and Sinister potions. (Her name also appears spelled Celine in gameplay footage — check the spelling on your server.)
  • Angelia appears at random times with the rarest potions in the game, at a lower spawn rate than Selene and with limited stock: the Forgotten, Cybernetic Glitch, Dreamer, and Party potions.

Note that some mutations are locked behind summoned events entirely — the Heaven's Collide event must be spawned with a potion or occur during an admin abuse.

Efficient workflow: farming a targeted high-value mutation with Heaven's Collide

This route, demonstrated in gameplay, lands Angelic (x6) on several characters at once:

Roadmap

  1. 1

    Buy the potion

Get the event that turns held characters Angelic (x6).

    • Go to the Shops area, to the right of the fishing rods, and find the potion merchant
    • She periodically sells the Heaven's Collide potion for 25,000 gems — described as not much once you progress into the divine/supreme tiers
  2. 2

    Clear bad mutations first

One mutation per character, so strip the old one before the event.

    • Use the Depolarizer on your best characters before you trigger anything
    • Removal runs on a timer — gameplay has shown one with about 13 minutes still remaining — so start clearing with time to spare
  3. 3

    Hold your targets and fish

Mutate as many characters as possible in one window.

    • Drag the characters you want mutated into your hotbar and click them so they follow you
    • Start the event, go over by the water, and fish — get as many as you can hit by the falling Stars and they become Angelic (x6)
  4. 4

    Why this route works

Physical events are targetable; silent ones are not.

    • Heaven's Collide's falling objects physically strike characters you have positioned, which makes mutating many characters one after another practical
    • Hallows' Eve- and SUB ZERO-style mutations happen silently by sheer chance with no effect to position for, making them hard to land on one specific best character

Cash upgrades that raise mutation chance and quality

The Upgrades shop includes two permanent mutation-related upgrades, and permanent upgrades survive rebirth:

UpgradeEffectInitial cash pricePer levelMax level
Mutation (chance) upgradeIncreases the chance a catch rolls a mutation / multiplies your Total Mutation Chance200k$+6.6147%15
Better Mutations (rare-mutation) upgradeImproves the quality of mutations you roll / improves your chances to catch a rare mutation1B$+1%20

The exact in-game names and per-level values here are worth rechecking in your own Upgrades shop before investing — the public upgrade listings they come from are still being filled in. General rule of thumb: if you need more chances to get mutations, put cash into the mutation upgrade or the Better Mutations upgrade.

Potions, the 2x Mutations gamepass, and event timing

Consumable and paid ways to improve mutation results:

Tips

Mutation Potions

Bought from the Boosts Shop; they increase the chance of getting mutations on your characters.

Burn potions inside event windows

A Blizzard alters mutation and freeze chances on what you catch, which makes those windows the right time to use a Mutation Potion rather than a Cash Potion.

Golden Potions

Reported to give high chances of catching a golden mutated anime unit — the Gold mutation (x1.5).

2x Mutations gamepass

A paid gamepass listed at 499 Robux that doubles the chance for every mutation to apply.

Admin Abuse sessions

Developer-led events running alongside updates may include boosted mutation chances and exclusive rewards; schedules are announced per event, so treat them as limited-time mutation opportunities.

What a mutation is worth in trades

Mutated characters can be traded, so a wanted mutation can also come from another player rather than being farmed — including Demonic-mutated units, provided you offer items or units of equal or better value. A mutated unit carries a higher trade value than a non-mutated one, but the mutation multiplier does not convert 1:1 into trade value: demand, rarity, level, and usefulness still set the price. Because mutations multiply the base character's existing value, a strong mutation on a high-tier character is far more desirable than the same mutation on a weak catch.

When receiving a mutated character, verify the mutation in the trade window itself — do not assume a character has the promised mutation based on chat messages alone. Check name, rarity, and mutation before accepting.
